Six Months

No way my baby is already six months old!!! Where did the time go? Here are Micah's six month old pictures. He resembles Noah as a baby, just with reddish hair and blue eyes. Although I think his eyes are beautiful in the color pictures...I can't help but L.O.V.E. the black and white pictures of him even more!

Oh That Jonah!!!

I wanted the kids to smile and NOT be grumpy for pictures...so I had what I thought at the time was a great idea. I went to McDonald's and ordered two small Sprites. (My thinking here; sugar = energy, energy = not grumpy, not grumpy = smiles) When I got to the window, they gave me two SUPER SIZED sprites. I told the lady my order was wrong, but she asked me if I wanted to take it anyway, since there was a long line behind me and I would not have to pay anything extra. Great deal right??? WRONG!!! Ever heard of too much of a good thing? For children who are rarely allowed to have sugar, a super sized Sprite turns them into screaming hyper maniacs running at break-neck speed. It also produces pictures like this...
Jonah could not sit still for more than 1/2 a second, but boy did he enjoy himself! I on the other hand was ready to pull my hair out...and the worst part is that it was my own doing! Note to self: massive amounts of sugar = misbehaving children.

Picture Perfect

Today was picture day for the boys. Here are a few of my favorites.

Photos Of The Fourth

Thanks to Mom, I have a few pictures of our fourth celebration to post here. The first few are just of the beautiful sunset. I always think watching the sunset is better than watching the fireworks!

Going....

...Going...

...Nearly gone!

Micah enjoyed Aunt Rita's attention while waiting for the fireworks.

Noah, Dee, 'Lil Deebo, Sol, and Dea...looking for fiddler crabs.

Jonah digging for "treasure".

Noah was a little disappointed when the first float had no candy!

He gathered all he could when they did throw candy!

And was very excited when he saw even more candy coming his way.

Mommy & Me & Me & Me

Happy Mothers Day weekend everyone! Being a Mom has to be one of the most exhausting, difficult, and frustrating jobs on the planet. On the other hand it is also the most important, rewarding, natural, and amazing thing that I have ever done or will ever do with my life.
My new haircut and color make me look so much like my own Mom that I can't help but think of her every time I look in the mirror. I take that opportunity as a reminder to pray that I will become the godly example to my children that she is to me.
My boys are such a blessing and I love every crazy, dirty, imaginative minute with them. Trying to get a picture this morning with all of us was no easy task. Noah insisted on being a pirate, (notice the one eye closed) Micah was refusing to smile, and Jonah just wasn't in the mood to sit still. Is that a surprise to anyone?

Best Buddies & Brothers

I'll just have to add this other picture I had on hand. This was the last picture taken of Noah and Jonah together before Micah was born. Just as they appear in the picture, they are really wonderful play buddies and great brothers. Gotta luv um!

The Trouble With Pictures

The trouble with pictures is that I just can't seem to remember to take them. I always think, after the fact, that I should have grabbed the camera. My Mom on the other hand always seems to have her camera ready. Most of the pictures of my family are due to her. Those last pictures of Micah that she posted were taken when he was just five days old! I didn't buy the CD of the pictures, so I had Mom use her scanner to post them. I can't believe a month has gone by already. On one hand it seems like just yesterday that we brought him home. On the other hand he is so ingrained to our family that it seems like we have had him forever.
I will be taking all three boys to have Easter pictures done sometime this week. If I don't pull all of my hair out trying to get three boys to sit in one spot, look at the camera, and smile all at the same time, then I will try to post them. I promise to do better Melissa!

Happy Boys

This is Grammy Joan again with a few more pictures of the boys.
Joe made it home with Denise and Micah around 5 p.m. on Sunday and Noah and Jonah were so excited to be home again also. Jonah was a little confused about his position about Micah but after cooing BABY, BABY, BABY I think he is satisfied to keep him for now! He didn't seem to pay too much attention to him in the hospital but boy he really noticed him at home. Noah is still the same typical big brother to both boys now.

Last day at the hospital for us !!!!!!!

I think I like having a Little brother !

Can you tell how happy I am at being the oldest brother?
